some notes on getting acpi sleep mode 3 to work on a dell inspiron 4100
- disabled AGP for nvidia geforce 2
- had problems with ethernet. solution: disable network and remove module, reload on resume.
- having problems with usb. removing all the modules is a start, but after resume my usb keychain doesn’t work at all. hotplug sees it, and the device is created, but suddenly it gets a ton of scsi errors. Perhaps remove scsi modules too?
update: well usb still barfs after 10 or 20 minutes. Suddenly my mouse is ejected, and pretty soon usb is totally dead. ACPI sleeping will have to wait until this shit gets straightened out.
