New Year's Eve Party 2005

Continuing the tradition set in place last year, Char and I are going to host a New Year's Eve party at our apartment in Somerville. Highlights will include:

• Karaoke Party! Char's favorite game is now available for Gamecube, so

up to 8 contenders can grab the mic and compete for the title of Somervillain Idol.

• Many games, including video and board. Choose from Mario Party,

Mariokart, Roborally, Tijuana Deathmatch (from Cheapass), as well as whatever games you bring over!

• Dinner will be pot-luck. Please bring something!

• Mafia!

• A time portal!

We will need your help with food and drink, so please reply on the wiki here: http://ywwg.com/wiki/index.php/New_Year%27s_Eve_Party_2005 and let us know what you can bring. Remember there are some vegetarians who also need to eat. Don't stuff yourself too much if you're seeing Sarah and Mercutio the next day!

There are a lot of busses that go fairly near our place, including 85, 86, 87, 88, 90, 91. Busses are a pain in the butt, though, so I will provide "Bus 666" service, which is me driving my car between our apartment and Kendall Square Red line T stop. If you wish to take bus 666, please reserve ahead of time. I'll meet you at the T stop and take you back to the apartment. Bus 666 also has Nite-Owl service, although this means the driver can't get drunk.

For those taking cars, there is on-street parking on Summer St, but side streets are permit-only. There might be some extra driveway spaces at our place but I can't guarantee it.

WHEN: 12/31/05, starting at around 5, until after midnight (of course)
