This trip has happened! Thanks to everyone for a great time, especially Jeff for getting everything off the ground by booking the excellent campground. This page is protected for posterity since there's no point in changing anything.

what where when
- 3 campsites for the 14th-17th
- Dune's Edge
"Dunes' Edge Campground is located off Route 6 in Provincetown, on the edge of dune country. Turn right off Route 6 at the blue and white "Seasonal Camping" sign, just beyond Mile Marker 116"
If you switch between satellite and road views on this google maps page, I think it's the unmarked road heading north from route 6 just east of Race Point Road.
weather
- yahoo/weather.com forecasts cloudy (fri, sat), possible thunderstorms (sun)
- National Weather Service predicts cloudy (fri), then 30% chance of thundershowers (sat, sun)

Jesi says: I think I successfully have Friday off, so I can go down early...although this means someone (preferably someone with the tent i'll be in :-P) has to claim me as a car-buddy! :-P
Anna: So I just found out I'm sort of fucked school-wise. So I might be going on Friday instead of Thursday, with whoever is going then.
Owen: Char and I don't think we'll be able to carry all of our camping gear on our bikes, so would anyone be willing to take some in their car? My own car is not working right now, so I can't just drop stuff off unfortunately.

- Jesi NOW says: Hope no one was holding their breath...my search turned up empty-handed :( Will someone share their tent with me? ::bats eyelashes::
- Anna: Jesi, I'm coming down Friday, at midnight or so, with Ed and Galina. I was able to get a 4 person tent, so you're welcome to share with us. However, if you're going to be there Thursday night, you'll need to sleep elsewhere, as we will not be there.
food
The campground does _not_ allow campfires, which sucks, but we'll need to deal with it. They do allow grilling and such, so we'll likely have similar types of food as past trips. People should arrange to handle their own food in small groups and such.
Char and Owen will be biking from the ferry, so they can't carry much food, and certainly not a cooler or anything like that. Char sez: We can just bike to P-town and buy more food there.
Jesi says: Umm...yeah maybe people should actually think about this or we'll be eating granola bars the whole trip...anybody else think of things like bugspray/sunscreen/raingear yet? Other than me, that is :-P
Anna: Ed and I planned everything for him, me, and my sister. So we're all set with food/sunscreen/etc. I'm willing to pick stuff up if you need something from Wollaston's, but you'll probably need to plan it with whoever you're going, as well.
activities
As for activities, P-Town is fun, there's dunes and beaches, a great strip of shops, drag shows, good food, biking, water stuff and more. My parents are actually boating up there for some of the time, so we can do some dinghy rides and stuff too.
Char sez: My officemate went to Dune's Edge last weekend, and she said BRING QUARTERS for the showers. She also reminded me that flashlights are needed to find your way to the WC at night. She also said it is a decent bike-distance to Provincetown.
Jesi: Quarters for the showers?!?! Ughhhh...how many are needed I wonder?
Char replies to Jesi: Don't get your undies in a bundle. I have $40 worth of quarters from the bank and I can bring some. The amount you have saved this year by doing laundry for free instead of people like Owen and I who regularly buy rolls of quarters to do laundry, should equate to a long shower indeed.
payment
everyone will be paying XXX dollars for the campground
Char sez: XXX dollars? So I am supposed to use the money I made at the strip club?
Jesi says: Which strip club? ;)
Owen: the paradise! ZING!
Char sez: For those who don't know, The Paradise is a male strip club right next to my office that my company has been trying to buy for years so they can tear it down. I am not sure if it is men stripping for men or for women, as it is still mostly mysterious to me.
Anna: Could we get some sort of number for this? I'd like to know how much money to bring. Thanks!
Jeff: The cost breaks down to $392 or ~$44 per person, They don't take credit cards, so if I could be given the cash beforehand it'd make the payment easier.
